Memphis 12.jpg

Tom Lee Park overlooks the Mississippi riverfront in Memphis and is a popular recreational area. The granite monument was erected to Tom Lee, a riverworker who saved the lives of 32 passengers of the sinking of steamboat M.E. Norman in 1925. The Frisco Bridge, a railroad bridge, can be seen in the background.
