The capital city of San Salvador sits in the Boquerón Volcano Valley surrounded by volcanoes. The second largest volcano in El Salvador, San Vincente, also known as Chichontepec, rises above the city with its well known double craters. The white domed Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Savior is the center of its downtown. The modern office building to the left is called the Torre Futura Building and is one of the tallest buildings in San Salvador.
