The Museum of Antioquia houses  antiquities and art from the province of Antioquia in Plaza Botero.  The sculptures 'The Sphinx' and 'Rapto de Europa' stand in front of the museum and are the work of Medellin's native son, Fernando Botero, and Colombia's most famous artist.  Plaza Botero holds 23 of his over-exaggerated sculptures, a style he is famous for.
